The relationship between parent and school is one of the most important factors in developing a consistent and meaningful experience that our children can use to grow academically, mature emotionally and develop socially.  At Chapel Hill Academy we strive to involve parents in all aspects of our program.  We firmly believe that a team approach involving parent/teachers/counselor and student is the only way to ensure success for our students as they move through our program. Communication between all members of the “Team” is essential for continuous success at home, at school and in the community. To help facilitate this communication we offer three different types of parent groups. Please check this page for updates regarding times and dates for each meeting.

1.Monthly Parent Meetings: Provide parents, students, and teachers an opportunity to communicate in an informal and fun setting.  The theme for each meeting allows the students to show off work that they have done in class and special projects through out the school. Meetings such as Back to School Night, International Night, The Science and Arts Fair demonstrate the exciting progress our students have achieved.  These meetings also provide Parents and Students the opportunity to interact with each other in and out of school.  Don’t forget that a light dinner is served at 5:30 (except Ind. Parent Conf.)

2.Parent Support Group:  Parents meet with counselors to provide support and strategies in parenting.  The experiences and resources that our parents have are immense and we provide a forum to support each other through this journey.  You are not out there alone!!  Three sessions, of 5 meetings each, will be scheduled through out the school year.  Child care will be provided with advanced notice.

3.Tea and Cookies with Dave and Diane:  A parent advisory group that meets 3 times during the school year.  We discuss and review current school programs, suggest possible ways to improve or add to what is currently offered and discuss parent concerns or issues.  Check back here for all the current information regarding our newly developed Parent/Teacher Organization!!!
