Homeroom 303 News October

Homeroom 303 has been working so hard and their efforts sure are paying off.  For five straight weeks everyone has earned their points and enjoyed Friday reward.  We are working are earning for another four weeks to earn a class reward.

We would like to wish Josh M. a Happy Birthday on October 8th

We are looking to take a trip to the Turtle Back Zoo. We are studying plant and animal cells in science and we want to put our new knowledge of how cells work into real life plant and animals.  Our social studies class has been studying the globe.  The class is excited and engaged in making their own globes using balloons and tissue paper.  In my Language Arts class the students are working on writing a seven paragraph opinion essay on being stranded on a deserted island and the five items they would want for their survival.  The students are using the four square method of writing to organize their thoughts.  They will work on editing, elaborating, and narrowing a focus when they are done writing.  In math, my group is completing the first unit in Algebra and is preparing to take their first unit test.  We are looking forward to our first day off on October 13th for Columbus Day and before we know it we will be getting ready for Halloween.
